ClipStack is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal or sensitive data. All clipboard history is stored locally on your device and never leaves your browser.

ClipStack only processes text that you copy using your system clipboard.

We do not monitor or track:

Where Your Data Is Stored

All clipboard entries are stored securely in your browser using Chrome’s storage.local system.

You may delete your clipboard history at any time. Uninstalling the extension instantly clears all data.

Permissions Justification

Permission Why It’s Needed What It Does NOT Do
storage Saves your clipboard history locally. Does not sync, upload, or share data.
clipboardWrite Allows ClipStack to paste items when you choose them. Does not read the clipboard automatically.
scripting Injects the clipboard capture script only when needed. Does not alter or track web pages.
tabs Allows the popup to know which tab is active for inserting text. Does not read browsing history or URLs.
content_scripts (<all_urls>) Detects copy/cut actions on pages. Does not access or analyze page content.
